sharad purnima शरद पूर्णिमा

इस शरद में मैंने था सोचा  
खूब धूम मचाऊंगी

 घी मावे मिष्ठान से
मैं पीयूष पायस बनाउंगी

बनी पायस चांदनी में रखकर
प्रेम से उसे छलनी से ढ़ककर
चन्द्र रश्मियों से उसे सजाऊँगी

नाचूंगी, झूमुंगी और गाऊँगी
संग उसके रास रचाऊँगी

आश्विन इस मॉस में अब
पारस  सी इन शशि किरणों में
मैं सखियों  संग नहाउंगी

पर इस बैरी बदरा  को देखो
क्यूँ आज आँगन में डाले डेरा है

सजा है घर अंगना और परछी
जैसे रंगोली का मेला है

बन बैठी मैं वृषभान लली , सुन
श्री गोपीचन्द्र आने वाले है

सजी लगाकर अंखियों 'में अंजन
पाऊं मनभावन मैं दर्शन !

बाहर बदरा अब छट गए सारे
अब मन बदरा ने घेरा है

दर्शन कौतूक   मोहे छाई ऐसे
करूं अब मै प्रीतम का अर्जन कैसे

Theme : According to hindu religion on the sharad poornima or kojoogari poornima a full moon day. The Moon through its beams showers amrit or elixir of life on earth.
On Sharad Purnima, girls wake up early, take a bath, wear new garments and offer food to the Sun God. They observe fast throughout the day and in the evening, when the moon rises, they again make special offerings, this time to the moon. They consume this offered food after the rituals are over. For girls, it is a festival to rejoice, dance and sing special songs.
